Michael Owen is of the belief that Manchester United and Arsenal will play out a draw in the Premier League this night.
The Gunners currently sit eight points clear of United in fourth place in the Premier League.
He told BetVictor, “Arsenal have not won at Old Trafford in the PL since September 2006 and I feel they will have to settle for a point despite going into the game on the back of a 4-2 win over North London rivals Spurs on Sunday.”
“United did well to come from two-down to get a draw at St Mary’s on Saturday, but they are not convincing at either end of the pitch at present.”
Paul Merson has also made his prediction and has urged Emery to start with both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette at Old Trafford.
Merson explained, “In the past we’ve seen Arsenal go to Old Trafford in form, play well but somehow still end up losing the game.”
He believes that unless Manchester United really pick their game up or the Gunners hit a brick wall after their efforts against Tottenham, he cannot just see how will win the match.
He hopes Unai Emery plays the same side that finished the game against Tottenham, playing two up front with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette because he thinks it will cause Manchester United all sorts of problems.
Speaking further, Merson said that when United got back to 2-2 at Southampton on Saturday there should have been only one winner but that they just didn’t kick on and it was like they were grateful to be back level at 2-2.
Manchester United will take on Arsenal in the Premier League at 8pm tonight.
