Manchester United could lose star midfielder Paul Pogba this summer but not everyone is concerned about the Frenchman’s possible departure. Pogba is a player that United are keen to keep but his recent stance against signing a new deal could render them helpless and make them sell him this summer instead. Pogba had been linked with a return to Italian Serie A giants Juventus and a switch to Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid but Paris Saint-Germain are now the leading candidates to sign the World Cup winner, with reports stating that they are already preparing a £50 million bid for the United youth academy graduate.
Former Manchester United midfielder Michael Owen has now asked the club to sell the player if he wants to leave and that they should stop trying so hard to keep him. Owen said that Pogba and his agent Mino Raiola have long been dropping major hints that he wants to leave England and it is high time they stopped trying to force him to stay back. According to Owen, Pogba is a world-class player and one that any club would love to have in their team but it makes no sense trying so hard to keep him if he wants out.
United will ensure that they stand their ground on how much they want for their player this summer and PSG will have to up their bid if they want to sign him as well.
