Liverpool legend Michael Owen believes that his former club will stop the rot and return to winning ways when they face hosts Tottenham Hotspur in their next league match. Michael Owen predicted the outcome of the Premier League encounter between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool on BetVictor.

According to him, Liverpool will dominate the game as Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho will give up possession to Liverpool willingly with the hopes of hitting them on a counterattack. Michael Owen is of the opinion that Reds will get back to winning ways at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the recent poor run derailed their quest to win a second Premier League title in quick succession but the holders can get back into the race with a win over Spurs when the two clubs meet tomorrow night. Michael Owen has tipped Liverpool to emerge 2-1 winners at the end of the game.

Liverpool were at the top of the table when they thrashed Crystal Palace 7-0 away from home last month in what was their last trip to London in the Premier League. They would be hoping for more of that outcome when they face a better team in the same London, Tottenham Hotspur. Since that big Crystal Palace victory, Liverpool have not won any of their last five games in the lead and the run has taken them from top spot to fifth position on the league standings but a win over Spurs will take them back into the top four. Liverpool have played the likes of Newcastle United, Southampton, Burnley, Manchester United and West Brom during this poor run. As a matter of fact, the Reds have won just once in the last seven matches in all competitions and that came against Aston Villa who fielded a youth team due to the numerous Covid-19 amongst the first team players.
